The sedan that made you like sedans.

Over the last few months I've noticed more and more of the Veterans on this site slowly move on and sell their cars. Some give it to a family member, others sell it for a new one, some total them and buy something else.

I was at dinner with friends not to long ago and a friend of a friend started talking with me, he told me he just picked up a G35, condescendingly noting it was a sedan. I congratulated him and ask if he planned to mod it, he told me he did and he was going for the fitted look. He then showed me a photo of my car and told me that's what he planned to make it look like. I laughed and said it looked decent.

I then realized that a few years back I was in that exact same spot showing friends and people I barely knew what I hoped to make my newly acquired G35 sedan look like. Trying to win people over from the coupes fine lines by showing them nicely modified sedans that trumped the looks of the coupe. However, none of the members that built those cars are frequent to this forum anymore.

So whether your new to the forum or a seasoned veteran, what was the sedan that made you actually love the sedan (if it wasn't the stock sedan itself)

Mine were Socalted and G35freak. I haven't seen Ted post in ages but G35freak is now M3freak IIRC haha.

What originally got me into the G sedans? My dads 2004 DG/Wheat G35X sedan w/ Premium WAY back in the day. (This was 4 G35s ago.. lol)

^I was literally 15 years old, on my permit when my mom took this pic. Her and I took that car for a drive up north along lake superior for a weekend. That was a fun trip. I remember when I got my licence, the very first day, I just took that car out and ran it through the gears down the freeway. I had wanted to do that for a year on my permit but yea, parents hindered it a bit when they are in the passenger seat LOL. After I got that out of my system, my dad was travelling and let me have the car for a few months. Thats when I fell in love with the car and decided I wanted one of my own when he came and took it back haha.

On comes the search while 'my' car sold (2003 Trailblazer). I remember finding my 05 LS sedan but I wasn't sure about that lakeshore color... thats when I was on g driver looking through pics and found Marcus's (the ONLY lakeshore slate on the forums at the time. Once I saw these pics, I was sold.

After that, my dad and I just kinda went on a G whoring mission.

Started with my 05.

Then pops got rid of the 04x and got an 08xSport

Then I sold my 05 last spring and bought a 6MT 08 Sport.
(which I wont post ***** with another pic )

This was the first 3 G35s we had though. My current 08 is not pictured

My parents love the Infinitis. My dad got rid of his 08 for a Corvette and got my mom an Altima. When the lease is up on that, they are more than likely going to get a new G25X for her. May have a 2 Infiniti garage again which I am pumped about!

Oh this post took me down memory lane... kinda went OT but carry on! LOL

TBH I was sold the first time I saw a G sedan press shot -- IIRC it was even EM!

Since then probably my biggest inspiration/motivation for tasteful mods came from a car many of you may not even have seen or remember: InTgr8r's!

G35freak's car showed me how great Rays 19s could look on a sedan.

Also that Blain guy has inspired/pissed me off with his sick EM see-dan, LOL!

Great thread idea!

Hands down it was Blain's (4DGS) car. After seeing him cruise around town(same town my girlfriend's parents live in) and showing his car at a mutual friend's car show, I knew I wanted one.

That being said, once I started researching G35s, I saw all the other majestic beauties out there, and it sealed the deal for me.
