Power Seat Switch Malfunction

My driver seat's incline button is not working. The seat is currently reclined all the way down (I was taking a nap). It reclines but does not incline. The dealership is closed for the next 3 days (New Years). Is there a simple way I can manually adjust the seat back up until dealer fixes it? I do not have the premium package. Therefore no memory seat settings.

Hi Meridian,

I don't know if this will help but I've attached a copy of the page from the owner's manual that deals with the power seats. I'm assuming your car is a 03 or 04 sedan.

The one comment from this page that seems relevant to your problem is that of the auto-reset overload protection circuit. I was looking for some sort of reset feature. The reset is automatic so your seat problem should have fixed itself. Is there something under the seat that might be blocking or jamming the seat mechanism? A seat belt, a dropped coin or pen, for instance. If the seat motor was straining against an obstacle it might be continuously going into reset mode from the "overload".

I am a little confused by your post. You say the seat will recline but wont incline. I'm interpreting incline to mean rise. If it is stuck in the fully reclined position, how do you know it will recline? It just sounds stuck.

Hi,
I did go through the owner's book and there was no mention of manual adjustment of the power seats. The seat is not quite fully all the way down. Therefore I still can recline a bit. Also, I hear the motor when I recline but no noise when I try to bring the seat up. Therefore problem is the switch and not the motor.
