Question Gear Ratios?

Hey there, new guy here with 2 questions.

1. Does anybody have the gear ratios for the sedan and the coupe?

2. Looking at the 05 brochure, it seems the memory package is for the seat and steering wheel but not the outside mirrors, is this true that the mirror position is not memorized?

Thanks!

I can vouch for #2 - the memory doesn't remember the mirror setting on an 05 G35x.

As for the gear ratios - I've wondered about this, as well, though I'm interested in the gear ratio of the the AWD vs RWD sedans. Our AWD seems to be geared really short, which may explain both it's quickness and poor fuel mileage.

Thanks, seems kinda strange they wouldn't include the mirrors as part of the memory package.

Yeah I want to see if there is a difference in gearing between the coupe and the sedan as both the sedan(6mt) and coupe(6mt) weights are listed as being the same and in the autos the sedan weighs about 18lbs less as well as the sedan is listed as having a lower coefficient of drag (by only 0.02). So in theory if the gear ratios are the same then is it safe to assume that the coupe and sedan should have roughly the same performance numbers?

I've got the '03 & '04 numbers for the A/T and 6M/T..Someone will have to confirm any changes to '05 and the ratios for the X.
As far as I know, the Sedan A/T is same as the Coupe A/T, Likewise with the 6M/T's.

Auto.:
1st. 3.54/1
2nd. 2.264
3rd. 1.471
4th. 1.000
5th. 0.834 ............final drive ratio>3.357

6M/T:
1st. 3.794/1
2nd. 2.324
3rd. 1.624
4th. 1.271
5th. 1.000
6th. 0.794 ............final drive ratio>3.538
