Not much of an update but I probably won't be pulling any mods off. Too busy and the car was towed someplace about an hour away. I'll most likely negotiate the mods with my insurance which in turn will file a claim to their insurance.

So no Technosquare ECU, 03 JDM tails, custom exhaust, sways (fronts were probably bent) or Konis (frt left was most likely broken), strut bar was turned into a 1/2 circle haha, rev up intake box broken, Crawford plenum as probably okay but could have been broken up.

Would be selling some blacked out modded headlights, 05 tails, maybe my coupe 19s/tires, sport interior trim pieces, + stock sways, upper plenum, non-rev low plenum.

Will pull up a for sale later

Dang I really wanted those JDM tails...but yeah, PITA to hump back and forth and remove mods. Good luck though, with the stuff you do have, should defray the cost of the new ride. Any firm decisions there yet?

Shouldn't you file with their insurance first? I thought if you file with your company you have to pay the deduct now and hope they get it back later. VS if you make the claim with their insurance its no cost but you obviously might not get money for the mods.

When i was hit in my old car, thats how it was explained to me at the time. I had no mods then so i just went thru their insurance.

I'm really looking at the Pontaic G8 GT. There's a modded one that a guy wants to sell. Never had American V8 power because the limited 4 door RWD models that aren't totally fugly or $55,000 (CTS-V). There's a totally stock one local also.

The other car on the list would be a M45. 2nd gen. But somehow, it doesn't excite me as much as the Pontaic. Go figure right?

You have the choice of dealing with their insurance or going though your own. I'm going though my own. And yes, it works exactly like you describe.

I was also told, they have had a 30-40% rate of getting your deduct back. What they do instead is offer you a discounted rate for the next 2 years.

G8's are nice, never was in a V8 model, same with the M series, only been in the m35.

Sorry to hear about your car but as others have said, at least you are ok.

It's exciting that you'll be getting a new ride at least (gotta look at the bright side).

Good luck!
