Welp the G is toast.

Lady tried to avoid a bus pulling out and thought it was a better idea to veer into oncoming traffic. Problem with that is my car was right in the way. I hit the Honda CRV almost straight on. But when I looked up again, her car was pointing 180 deg the other way?! She must have hit my car and bounced all the way around? I don't remember exactly but I remember thinking "wtf is this car coming over the median at me?!" And "this might hurt". Both airbags blew and I'm sore. Went to the emergency room anyway. Checked out okay but might get my knee looked at again. I banged it on the lower dash.
Funny thing, the cops were all telling me what a great car the G was and was telling me "dude, you need to get the G37!"

Loaded up on IBs and might take work off tomorrow. Not going to get sheit for this car and didn't really want a car payment. Decisions

Just got the dumb radio fixed and the beatiful real Nismo sport bumper was not even 7 months old (I got it installed and painted during the summer)

I most likely won't buy it back to part it. Front suspension is probably done. Crawford plenum looked okay. Exhaust is probably okay. RSB, JDM 03 tails are okay. Fortunately I had my blizzaks and oems vs my coupe 19s. Not sure if it's worth it to dig for the Technosquare flashed ecu or not. The buy back will cost more than the parts

Damn Jeff, that sucks. While I'm sorry to see the G in that shape I'm really glad you're OK. Since you didn't mention her physical state I assume she's mostly OK?

I hear ya on the decisions, decisions. Let us know which direction you go and what you did with/got for the G.

Sorry to hear. All things happen for a reason. Hopefully you get some favor in the end. Good thing is you walked away from it.

Sorry to see your car in roughed up but its always good if you can walk away.

I sincerely hate bus drivers. I was almost run into oncoming traffic just two days ago by a bus that just started drifting into my lane as I was right beside it. No where to go and the guy at my rear was following too closely so i started flashing my lights and beeping my horn to let oncoming traffic know what was up...

You should be able to go and retrieve any personal items from the car. Im guessing you didnt have aftermarkets insured, so they are technically your personal property. I would say you are entitled to the tails, plenum, etc... Put the stockers in the trunk and say goodbye

This seems to be happening a lot lately, I know of 3 other G's that are wrecked right now, one that was broken into, and mine is in the body shop after a drunk hit it while it was parked.

Sorry about your car man, glad youre ok

Thanks. I'm sore but okay today. Emergency room inspected me as a precaution. At my age.... All the doctors wer cute woman. I was waiting for a strip search and sponge bath. Rats. Will have to monitor my health in the next few days.

Don't know what to get. Was planning on keeping this car for the next 2-3 years until the wife's RX400h was paid for. Sort of saving to get into a bigger house in a better school district. I suppose if I get 10-12 grand and pay another 10 grand cash I could get something with sorta low miles that's interesting. Was thinking of a M45 or a Pontaic G8 GT. GXP is probably out at well over 30 grand. I think maybe a G35S or a G37 (sedans) might work. I'm open to suggestions.

Good idea about grabbing some stuff off the car. I have the stock stuff and some of it should be easily removable.

Damn Jeff. That REALLY sucks to see your G messed up like that. But atleast she took her life to save yours and did a pretty good job in the process.

Gonna be bummed you wont have your 35 on here anymore... but it doesn't mean you cant join us over in the 2nd gen forums Some good deals on the 08s right now!!

That would be cool if you can put the stock stuff back on. The G37 sounds good. I thought about it so many times to trade in my 08 G35 for the G37.

Odd thing. When I bought the Nismo front, it was painted black. I noted that my front bumper is red underneath. I wonder if it was red, painted black when it was sold to me and then silver.

Wouldn't be the first time that has happened. Maybe it had a few owners or they paint it black so it would be easier to sell.

When I thought about replacement sedans, I thought about your purchase Janik.

All the police and medics were commenting on how the G did ti's job with the crumple zones.
