Back at it Again, 03 Sedan ... Rev Up ????

As you may all know I have an 03 G35 Sedan. They come with the 260hp version engine...NON REV UP.

I'd like to build a REVUP motor for n/a use and toss it in...

few questions my dear friends:

Since the REVUP uses Intake and Exhaust Cam Phasers, what Can I use to control the Exhaust phaser? (SAFC ? or Emanage?)

Also, what challenges will I be hitting (ECU obviously? )

Note:

Remember the 2003 Sedan has an UNTUNEABLE ECU. Meaning that I cannot reprogram the ECU, I do have a Emanage blue

Honestly I would think the easiest way to do it would be to run a revup ecu. I haven't done much research pertaining to this as it doesn't really concern me, but I do know that you could run ecu's from different year cars in other models. Usually you just have to get the computer to think it is running in the "right" car and not different one.

Interested to see what more knowledgeable people have to say on the topic. Kind of curious now.

can't run the other ECU's

The 2003 has a completely retarded ECU which uses the older connectors like that of the MAXIMA and Altima's.... If not, I'd go BOOST!

Ahh sorry I didn't know they had different connections I would think the cheapest way to do it then would be a whole harness swap out of a junked car perhaps. Or maybe just start off with something different. Like an 05 with a revup?

A first gen with an hr motor would be sick! An ls swap would be better!

I happen to come across this thread while browsing over here for a few min.

Just thought id share this info. Ive got a 350Z haltech running in my car with my pnp haltech harness for the older grey ECU's.

My stock ecu does not support EVT, the Haltech is completely running the EVT system

So you could do a REV UP, and still use your stock ecu.

Or you could keep the setup you have now, and just add a haltech. Then you could tune for FI or w/e
