So this week I've installed bc racing coilovers with spc rear camber and toe.
I'm also running 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear wheels, staggered setup.

The problem my cousin, whose my mechanic, ran thru was that in the rear he has the height at the highest adjustment setting and the rears seem still way too low...literally maxed out.

Anyone also encounter this problem?

We also called BC Racing today and explained to them the issue, and they're going to send us the gold rings or spring spacers that would help us get a little more clearance in the rear. They also said that our problem is a rare problem as well..

Did he raise the springs in the bucket AND the shocks in the wheel wells?

You need to do both. At least thats what i did on mine.

 

My BC coils are at the max height in the rear also and I only have about a 1 1/2 finger gap. I have the 210mm rear springs. I believe BC offers a 230mm spring that will give you more lift. I wish I had known that when I ordered mine. I would prefer a little more height for the winter months.

It has been discussed on here before and is not uncommon. Most people get coils to slam their ride so I bet not many people complain to BC that their coils don't go high enough.

And mikedg, yea I've been reading about that as well the 210 and the 230 rear springs, I can't remember which ones I have...

 

It is definitely the spring. The stock is 210. I have the same issue. I was going to order the 230 but not sure if it was going to make a huge difference.

Did you order spacers from bc? I thought that was for the X only.

 

Yea they shipped it out next day air. Should get it tomorrow. My mechanic says all I need is just a little more clearance...and idk if its for the x or not, the tech guys jus said theyll send me the spacers. Hope that it solves my issues.

 

The 230mm springs allow for 3/4" more of adjustment over the 210mm springs. I highly recommend the 230 spring on the G/Z.

 

If the spacers they send don't give me enough clearance, then I'm going to have to see if bc would swap out 210 for the 230s.

 

They would swap them out if they weren't used, so expect to pay at this point.

 

I mean we havent driven on them yet..just installed on the car.

How tucked is the tire now jimmy without the spacer?

 

My mechanic says its pretty tucked at max height.

 

K just called him, he says tires are all the way tucked almost to the rim with no finger gaps at highest adjustment.

 

Told you to go low Hahaha
