Hi. Has anyone out there had success using an aftermarket catalytic converter on their G35x? I am in need of one. I have heard that aftermarket cats have a far greater propensity not to "work" on many cars, and as a result, the SES light will continue to come back on even if installing a direct fit "generic cat." In addition, aftermarket cats are not made to the same quality standards as OEM parts and use far less precious metals inside adding to the likelihood of triggering the SES light. I'd hate to spend $400 on an aftermarket cat, only to find out the SES light continues to stay on. My cat is bad, so please don't assume any other scenario as to why my SES light comes on. Any thoughts on this?

best bet is to pick up a set of oem cats here in the marketplace, if none aren't listed create a want to buy ad. They go for under 200

You might also want to PM DaveB, IIRC he posted recently he has a pair for sale.
