How much grease should you apply and where exactly? I'm very new to this.

Both of my oem compression rod bushings are shot so I am going to replace them soon. Interested to see if the Armstrong bushing is better than the ES bushings.

I'd have to look up the invoice to see how long it's actually been (might be longer)... I'll try over the weekend if I have time.

I did a bunch of research prior to getting them, needless to say I was satisfied with what I found... after having gone through two pairs of OEM, these have been without issues (I probably just jinxed it).

However, I don't drive the car much (almost at all these days)... but I have had several track events and long trips... as well as occasional weekend use - I'm not one to say get this, it's best (I think people are foolish to do that)... but I can tell you I've been satisfied and from what I learned when looking into them quite some time ago, others had too.

so really theres not enough miles of wear & tear on these bushings for us to determine how solid this part really is, correct? i need this done asap. the colder weather is somehow making mine noisier and its bugging the **** out of me.

The Nismo ones are $54 each, two needed. Over double the price of the Armstrong.

Good catch, I thought it was for two. I guess it comes down to wanting Oem or aftermarket.

buy once cry once.

I learned years ago that its cheaper to pay once than go cheap and pay 2 or more times... I'm not just referring to car parts - everything from pillows to shoes to compression rod bushings.

thnx for reply ocg35. but hundreds of thousands of miles on thousands of cars doesnt equate to much. i was only referring to your vehicle. agree on your second point. i will pay more if it means not having to worry about it for a long time.

for you maybe not, but when I review products it means quite a bit to me... and as my initial post indicates, I found the Nismo to be a good choice when I researched them... and subsequently have been satisfied.

re-post for reference:
