Air filter was changed within the last 6 months, i havent cleaned or replaced the throttle bodyOriginally Posted by curryboyy
I've had this happen. Possible solutions could be when was the last time you cleaned/changed your air filter and throttle body?

Nope no CAI or any engine mods. The hard part for me about this is the i dont believe it could be any types of sensors because theres no CEL's, i've heard the MAF can sometimes not throw any codes so my next choice would be moving onto the fuel pumpOriginally Posted by 1SlowSedan
Do you have a CAI? Sounds like a dumb question but my car did the same exacty thing.

I would clean the the throttle body. I mean you have nothing to lose and it's quick and easy

glyeah definitely wouldnt hurt to give it a shot, even if its not the cause of the problem better to have it done anyways

Torque converter. Had this happen to me on a different car. Everytime I would go to stop(foot on brake) the car would stutter real hard and stall. Does that sound like the problem?

could be the battery too. even tho the voltage is good it could be defective somehow and cutting power off to the car even tho the gauge lights come on and make sure the terminals are tight

hopefully i can help...i had the same problem..i would drive slow and it would completely turn off then i would start her back up and i had this problem for a couple days and did everything and still came up with nothing...so i took her to my friends shop and it turned out to be the camshaft sensor if i remember correctly..had this problem fixed and shes been running smooth ever since...so i think that might be your prob
Just pumped my first full tank after getting fuel filter done and whole car smelled like gas, god damnit

This would cause the MIL light to illuminate because of no signal from the CPS. It would also cause the VDC and SLIP light to illuminate which is a common problem and is covered under a TSB. Originally Posted by G Dilla

OP you need to get a scan tool and look at the sensor data to have it diagnosed. It is going to be real hard and shot in the dark diagnosing over the internet without looking at it with a scan tool.
