Upgrade rear struts only?

What would happen if i upgrade only the rear struts? Would it improve or worsen the feel and handling of the car. I'm eyeing a pair of 350z KYB struts for cheap, was thinking of getting just the rears for now and then get the fronts months down the line cause the fronts are pricier and i got alot of things to fix on the car first. I wouldnt say that Anything is going to 'happen'....BUT, Since they are 350z struts, they will be a little bit shorter-----so it will drop you a slight bit(and I mean slight!).

You probably wont notice any difference unless your current rears are blown.

If I could find a super-cheap set, I'd do that too.

I assume you're dropped on Tein springs? s-tech h-tech? For sedan, coupe or Z? What shocks are you running now? some info would be useful...

replacing fronts or rears separately is fine. Just make sure to replace both rears at the same time, dont piecemeal.

Our cars have front struts and rear shocks. There is no impact from replacing the front/rears separately.

After some searching i'm having second thoughts about this particular brand. Read third post. https://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-...o-hp-blue.html

When you initially said KYB I assumed you would be talking about KYB AGX, they have adjustable dampening. I had them on my maxima and I was very happy with them. I had them for 5-6 years with tein s techs on them w no problems!

If I were you I would do my own research and base my selection on that. Don't just make a decision based on one post or "I have heard" type comments. KYB is reputable company with decent products.

Um yes, but the GR2 he is talking about are oem type replacements he will blow them with lowering springs. It has nothing to do with being reputable

blues and GR2 are stock replacements. They will not be any better then stock other then the fact they are new. Maybe if your stuff was blown then it would benefit.

You can do front or rears or lefts and rights. But it MIGHT accelerate the wear on the older ones, I haven't found this true but in theory is logical. They new parts will do less work and the old parts will be required to do more. Given that i'll still buy just front and rears but not just a single corner.

I just bought the Front and Rear Tokico HP blues last night on ebay. $307 with shipping. Its the best deal I could find. I would say that they are a slight upgrade from stock, I personally don't want shocks that are adjustable, because I know that I would never take the time to adjust them. Here is the link http://www.ebay.com/itm/03-07-Infini...a16cbb0ea#shId

I will have them put on in about 2 weeks and try to remember to post and feedback on this thread.
