New '05 G35 owner here

Hey Guys, I just bought an '05 G35 sedan 6spd with $84K. As far as I can tell, it's completely stock. So, time to get started on the mods.

Sold my '99 911, cause I needed something a bit more practical with the kids.

Looking forward to the help!

Welcome and congrats on the nice find, 6MT sedans are truly hard to come by. Depending on what your goal is there are mods you can go with, you can check the stickies above and the media threads to get some ideas, and also the tech area which provide great info about our Gs. Give yourself some time to do your research here I'm sure you'll have at least 98% of your questions answered. Post some pics of your G when you get a chance.

For $84K you should've bought a 2013 GTR nomsayin' ??

On a more serious note congrats and welcome to the family. You will find a wealth of info for your new ride here so get ready for many hours lost reading and researching and a significantly detrimental effect on your bank account.

911 to a G35. Should have kept the 911 and got yourself a accord or something to daily.

But, welcome and enjoy the new ride.

Yeah, I know, I miss it already!

I'm looking to drop $2-3K into this one, so I've been doing some searching on recommendations.

My thoughts are - suspension, brakes (basic rotor/caliper upgrade), and a few interior things - tint needs replaced, upgraded stereo.

This is going to be my daily driver, as I go from Sac to the Bay every couple weeks.

Stock G - completely different than the 911. 911 just drives like a dream. That's why I want to lower the G, and do a couple things do it.

Main thing was, I have 3 young kids, and I need to have a place to put them. Porsche only let me put in 2 at a time.

Aww awesome! I just bought an 05' g35 coupe white. I'm going to add some things to my car: full system exhaust, diffuser, new headlights, eibach springs: lowering it 2 inches, black rims. This is just some ideas I'm going to be doing slowly. Are you going for looks, performance, or both?
