05 console rattle

Anyone have a light rattle on the center console? I have had this from pretty much day 1, and kind of want to get it taken care of. Should I just take it to the dealer, or does anyone know an easy fix (besides blasting the radio)

It's really tough to cure rattles in today's all plastic interiors, you can drive yourself nuts trying to locate it, I always try to locate them myself, then if it's not something I can stop, I take it to the dealer.

I just got my G35 last week, I'm sorry to hear that. Mine seems to be fine, but that rattle problem for g35 seems to be a common problem. Your best bet is to take it to the dealer. But as we all know rattle problem is not easy to fix. Well good luck !!

It's not a big deal. When I put pressure on the part (left of the shifter on the metal right at the seam of metal and plastic) it stops. I sprayed a little 303 int he seam and for the past few days I haven't heard any rattle.

Did the 303 leave a shiny spot? I need to try something on my mirror.

I wonder if the new 2005's has the same rattling problem with the mirror wire that some of the 2004's had. I remember spending weeks trying to figure out where the constant ratttle was coming from only to find a wire behind the mirror causing it all. And to think my dealership still hasn't fixed/gotten rid of it yet...

303 is like armorall but not greasy... I learned that trick for fixing rattles in my Jetta...

303 is like zaino for your dashboard... It even has UV protection.

I stopped the mirror wire rattle by putting a thin piece of rubber between it and the windshield, the rattle I am talking about now, is in the mirror itself, I have the auto dimming mirror with HomeLink, it's a noise similar to the one your computer keyboard makes if you press on it at the sides!

Jayhawk,
Where did you apply the 303, all over, or at the "seams"?

I was wiping down my dash, and since I had it out, I sprayed some in the crack between the metal and plastic. I wiped off the excess...

Just got my rattle too

I've just had my G35 '05 for about one week and it's begun to rattle too. It seems to be coming from the center console/armrest from under the lining where the spare change coin tray and DC outlet are. Has anyone else taken theirs to the dealer yet?

I have a 05 G35 for 2 months, and it has no rattle problem so far. I guess the rattle comes from the HomeLink...
