In direct answer, no you SHOULDN'T use the staggered tire sizes listed on your car. They will throw off your AWD system.
But you can change the rear or front tires to match up, so you could still use those rims if you want to. A 225/50 in the front would put the Diameter close enough and should still fit without rubbing. Or drop the profile in the back to 245/40. There are a couple options, you could even run the same size, like a 235/45 all around but that's more costly initially because you'd have to change all your tires at once. Though this is the recommended option anyways.
Any local tire shop should be able to help you sort this out, you'll need to have them swapped installed and balanced anyways so you may as well shop around for a good shop with good pricing. You can get tires from Tirerack.com as well but keep in mind you still need to pay for shipping taxes and installation, a lot of times it's cheaper to just go to the local tire place.

Um coupe 18s are not staggered, just the tires are. They are 18X8 +30 on all 4 corners if you are talking about the first gen 7 spoke versions.
Come on, blowing up a t-case would be a blast...right?
Lol. I'd go with the 45/18s all around.

.. The tire size breakdown off the top of my head:
ex. 245/45/18
245 = the tires width in mm
45 = aspect ratio, this is a percentage of the width, it represents the height of the sidewall, but is NOT A DIRECT MEASUREMENT
in this regard, a 245/45 and 265/45 would have a completely different sidewall height.
18 = obviously rim height, tire bead to tire bead
So you can see why suggesting 45/18 all the way around without specifying the width of the tire is completely useless.
