Sadly the non oem cam and crank sensors CAN NOT be skimped on. go oem or you will probably buy more.
for the OP... I will bet $$$$ it is the harnesses. during the swap a a ground has gained a hairline crack in the copper or the hot has gained a hairline crack in the copper.
when the motor flexs 'just right' it fails.
as a random stranger on the internet test. power brake it top 2500rpm. see of it does it.
