05-06 g35 with rev up ????

i have a 2006 infiniti g35 6mt and its in the dealership for transmission warranty. it has little over 80k now. they are replacing it with new clutch and ordering a used tranny with under 30k.
My question is, does it matter what yr tranny its coming off of since i have the rev-up 6mt?

thanks in advance fellaz.

I had an 05 transmission which was prone to synchro issues. So my replacement was an 06 transmission and I have had no issues, even after boost!

dont know if it helps, but I thought I would share.

Good luck!

I am not sure why they are ordering a used tranny. If its covered under warrenty, infiniti doesnt do that. They replace with new as they did in mine.

I guess as long as they cover their work. I wouldnt get an 05 transmission at all. I would look to an 06-07 as they were revised after the 05 syncho issues.

tell them to GTFO and give you a NEW tranny, yes thres a difference the old trannys fkn suck, CD009 is 06+ ---- atleast on 350z, its revup/HR tranny.

the thing about the dealership is i have a 3rd party warranty and they wont pay for a new one. they can only cover up to 1200.

what will happen if they put a tranny without the revup? will it mess everything up? should i call and ask to make sure the one they're getting me is a revup one?

^^ X2

CD009 tranny's have been proven to handle up to 1250rwhp

Synchros were much better in the CD009's as well
