Wood Trim interior on 2005/AT Graphite interior

Ok, so I had these posted on another thread, but I wanted to let people see what the wood dash looks like for the 2005 models. This is the Rosewood Cherry that they installed on the car.

Here are some pics of the rosewood cherry wood that they used for the interior. These were custom prototypes for our car since there are NO wood kits out there for the 05's yet. I know there is a factory option, but this is not that one. Top it off, they used REAL WOOD!!!! I'm a pretty large car afficionado, and I know that most wood trims on cars ar either a cheap vinyl overlay to "appear" like the wood grain, or a plastic that's got a wood grain look. When I opened up where the NAV unit would normally be, I could see the stain and feel that it was REAL wood by the edges. I was completely impressed.

Sorry for the out of focus picture of the dash, but with all that's been going on with the holiday's and new years gatherings I haven't had time to take any new ones!

The only problem my wife had was that this was not the right grain of wood that she wanted installed....oh well, just add it to the list of "too be fixed"

Not a fan of wood that goes all around the buttons on the radio and climate controls.

From what I can tell from the pictures, it looks very good! I also put something similiar to that in my 03 sedan to match the factory wood that already existed. Like yours, mine is also real wood and you can really noticed the difference!!

The wood was installed at the dealership. Mission Infiniti had their guy come in and template out our dash and make the necessary parts.

Where in SoCal do you live?

Might you have a name for the guy who did this for Mission? I'm sure he's a vendor, and doesn't work for the dealer.

Unfortunately I don't have a name for the vendor, however, I do need to take the car back sometime in the future to get the rosewood dash replaced for Bird's Eye Maple Wood. When I do take it back I will do my best to get the name of the vendor the dealership uses for you!

This is way off topic, but how can you guys afford to live around there with real estate as high as it is? Damn, I can't believe the prices! Guess that's why there are so many high end houses going up around here, people moving from CA, you can still buy quite a house for $200k here!

Ha no kidding about the real estate prices. Yes the car we bought was in Mission Viejo. We were going to buy from Tustin, but since we got a VERY nice hookup price with Mission (long story) we went with them.

I only dream of owning a seriously FAT home for $200K. Our house cost over twice that much and really isn't that big. It's southern california's real estate prices that are outrageous. Oh well. You pay for where you live. The only reason my wife and I can afford this is because she makes BANK.

Houses weren't always expensive around here. Its just been in the last few years that the demand for real estate has gone up dramatically.

A local nonprofit raffled this house off last month, and the value was listed at $230k, brand new home, really nice place! Wish I could have won!

Try living in Chicago or the Northern Chicago burbs. A decent size (2400 sq. ft) newer construction home with 2 car garage..about $350,000

a slightly larger newer constrcution (approx 3400 sq ft.) with 3 car garage $450,000

a nicer neighboorhood (North Shore) same size house $800,000+.

My wife & I paid $211,000 for our home 8 years ago..we're in a decent area, by my reckoning our house is running at approx $450,000 in today's market.
