Have G35X as loaner..compared to my 6Mt sedan
Brought in my 2003.5 6Mt sedan today to get a new tranny due to the grinding going into 6th. I was given an X as a loaner. Considering the weather is supposed to get kinda treacherous tonight with snow and freezing rain I was happy to get the opportunity to test drive the car and consider it for my wife.
Driving an automatic never did anything to me, but the difference between a 6 speed and an automatic in a car like this is enormous. I didn't play with their version of the slapstick to change gears. Kinda reminds me of the oldVW bugs with the semi-automatic transmissions.
The ride was a little smoother than my car, which I expected.
I imaigine having a car like this for bad weather conditions is a big plus, but for the NYC area, the rear wheel drive with Blizzaks on all 4 wheels has been fine and I don't sacrifice anything in ride or speed.
The G35X is a nice car, but doesn't give me any goosebumps like my g does.
Just my opinion.
