Question 350z midpipe = coupe midpipe?

I've searched around but I cant find a straight answer... is the 350z midpipe exactly the same as a coupe midpipe only shorter? or does it have any advantages.

I can get a 350z midpipe significantly cheaper than a coupe midpipe, but I have to add an extension. so once its done it will probably come out to be the same cost, the question is it worth it to go through the trouble of adding an extension to the 350z midpipe? My guess is the 350z midpipe should have some sportier qualities than the coupe, i could be wrong though
