Weird noise from under dash board passenger side
Weird noise from under dash board passenger side
It's a 2003 5AT
Video:
(key part 10 - 20 sec)
Ever since it started getting warm(idk if that could be related) my car has been making this weird noise from under the dashboard under the passenger side while idling. It appears after about 10 or more minutes of driving. I can't hear the noise from outside even with the hood open, so my guess is somewhere in the dash/below the dash on the passenger side? It's a pretty obvious noise when I'm sitting with the radio off. It's a lot louder in real life than the video.
Any idea what it is? Is it serious? The car seems to drive fine. Will it explode!!?!

I have An 04 and the exact thing is happening. I only hear it while idling and can only be heard from the cabin. Opened up the hood several times in hopes that i'll find the source of the noise but I hear nothing. Its strange but ANNOYING

I had a problem with a buzzing sound from the passanger side a while back that about drove me nuts, for about 10 minutes. That is all I could stand of it. What I did was to pull the car on level ground, cut the wheel hard right and get up under it. After about 15 minutes I found it. It was a splash guard that was missing the plastic push pin. It had fallin out and was causing the to pieces of heavy plastic to buzz being so close together. Push around on the plastic guards to see if this could be your issue. A possible easy fix. Let me know.
