Oil Change

Alright about time to change the oil in the G. First one since switching to this vehicle. I have always used Mobil 1 Full Synthetic in all of my vehicles (Minus rx-7's). My question is what is the best weight people have experience with these vehicles? I live in Columbus, GA and summer is soon approaching so temps will be 90+ and even 100+ in the summer. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

This past winter, I ran 0w30 German Castrol and loved it. The car warmed up faster and my gas mileage improved compared to the previous winter(about 30 more miles per tank). I'll be coming up on 90k milles just before summer and will most likely switch up to 5w30 after I have an oil analysis performed. I've run 10w30 a summer or two ago and def didnt appreciate losing nearly 40 miles per tank!

It really depends on the climate in your area. In Maryland, we get the extremes of each season; bitter cold winters and blazing hot summers. That allows me a little "flexibility" in selecting an oil that would provide optimum protection/performance for my engine during a particular season.
