When you say the bottom part, do you mean the very bottom edge, or the dark molding below the painted portion of the bumper, or the painted portion? I scraped my front bumber on a curb (2 curbs, actually) and ended up with a minor scrape on the dark molding and the bottom edge was all frayed. Other than rub it with vinyl treatment, there wasn't really anything I could do about the molding. It's a minor problem visually and certainly doesn't compromise the integrity of the bumper. The frayed edge bothered me though. So I carefully trimmed the frayed portion off with a new razor blade. Then I used a fine grit sand-paper to smooth the bottom edge out. It's practially like new again. Hope this helps.

You might wanna check to makesure the plastic is off of the bottom of the bumper (the black area).. I hit scraped it against a curb the first week or so I had my G then realized there was a protective plastic type clear ?sticker? sticky-stuff? anyways.. I removed the plastic and it looks fine..
