Handling Question - 2005 Sedan 6MT

Looking around the site I found that the creaking sound coming from the front of the car when leaving/entering my driveway is likely bad compression rods.

My question is this. Would bad compression rods cause squirmy handling and uneven tire wear?

List of symptoms:
- When going down the highway, car will pull left, then pull right constantly
- In reverse, the wheels almost always try to cut left pretty hard
- Inside of front tires nearly bald outside looks fine. Note: tires are nearing replacement anyway but I don't want to put a new set on and have it feather the inside like the current set

I've only had the car for about 1,500 miles but it seems a bit squirly on the highway. I have to keep correcting it left and right. Maybe it is out of alignment.

Also, the tires on the front are worn really bald on the inside.

Steering is tight and it still handles pretty good, but the more seat time I get, the more I think I need to replace the compression rods and get it aligned.

What do you think?

I would say alignment for sure.

If the compression rods are really, really bad I guess I could see them having something to do with it.

I know people run with bad compression rods though so I might check out to see if the bushings are completely toast, if not get the alignment checked/done.

If you want to do it right though, fix the compression rods, then get it aligned.

Could be tires. Some tires dont track well.

Tires are Michelin Pilot HX MXM4. According to the maintenance records from the previous owner, they have approximatetly 28,000 miles on them.

I'll put it up on the lift this weekend. I have access to a lift that uses four pads to pick up a vehicle. It was easy to locate a lift point for my truck. Where are the lift points under the G35?

Might have a busted OUTER tie rod.
