Auto Windows Rear

I was wondering if anyone knew the parts needed to make the rear windows roll up and down with the auto feature on the driver door switch. My master switch is only for auto front windows.

Are you talking dropping the windows when you hold the door-key cylinder to unlock?

First check that your rear window lock switch isn't engaged (although I don't know if that effects this anyway).

Then, there are two separate schematics in my 05/06 manual. One is: "With Front Left and Right Power Window Anti-pinch System" and the other is: "With Front and Rear Power Window Anti-pinch System". The door-key window up/down thing will only work on windows with "anti-pinch" so it's possible your back windows don't have that... I don't know when that became standard, maybe somebody here does. But my guess is that if your car didn't come with anti-pinch rear windows it would be a complicated mod that would involve window motors, wiring, maybe even the BCM black box, etc, etc...

He's referring to the one touch up/down found on premium package cars.

OP, I suggest looking on eBay for a switch console/panel with the auto up/down switches for the rear windows.

Yes the one touch. So you think all I need is the switch with no additional wiring?

Oh duh... sorry. But this info still relates... I believe if your car did not come with the "anti-pinch" feature on the rear windows then you can't just swap to an "auto-mode" switch. The diagrams for cars with auto-mode on all 4 windows includes a "power window sub switch" for each rear with a CPU monitoring the motor limit sensors... See attached for pics... Schematic 1 is the "simple" version and schematic 2 is the "auto-mode" version.

Thanks for the info. Looks like a bigger challenge then I willing to take on.

Interesting, never knew that. I'm curious though if the "power window sub switch" actually controls anything to do with the auto windows or if they just happen to be on premium package models.

Just looking this up I'm surprised at how complicated it is too. I'm not really qualified to be offering advice but what I gather from the service manual is that there can't be ANY automatic window operation without the "anti-pinch" feature and that seems to involve the BCM, datalink, motor encoder, limit switch, and all kinds of extra s#it. There must be a second connection made when you pull the door button up beyond the momentary position to the auto position which tells the computer to fully close the window. But the "power window main switch" in the driver's door even has it's own CPU in the schematic..so,
