Rattling/Grinding noise from the front left wheel
Rattling/Grinding noise from the front left wheel
Hey guys. sorry i havn't been on in a while. just staying really busy with work. but lately we've just been getting some snow and the front left wheel is starting to having a rattling/grinding sound. it's when i start the car in the mornings so when it's cold, but then makes the same sound when it loses traction and the "slip" light comes on. yea the car is covered under warranty, but i wanted to get some ammo before i go in. any have this issue? btw it's the x so it has all wheel drive and the noise is also made when it's standing still. but it will go away and then come back, but beyond the "slip" situation i can not determine what it is. please help and thanks to those who do.

See, going to the dealer with the attitude "but i wanted to get some ammo before i go in" is the wrong way to deal with things, no one will like working with you with that attitude, go in and be nice, don't fight the service guy right off the bat, and your service will be fine. Do you work in TV News or what?

I don't see it as attitude, simply another way of saying he wants to be prepared.
wow, no doubt. thx for the help anyway. i'm actually good friends with the sales person, but i thought that i would just ask if anyone has had this issue before and to make sure that the service guys wouldn't give me any b.s. really haven't had issues with them except for my brakes squeeking which i'm sure that most people on here have had the same issue. some have been fixed but i was told that they "tried" fixing it and that it's just something that i'm going to have to "live" with. not the service that i was expecting, but that's why i wanted to be a little more prepared this time. but thx for the no help and thx for sticking up for me...

See, some years back, I was traveling on business with a couple of co-workers, we got into an airport, and our flight was cancelled, all the other people were bitching and shouting at the ticket clerks, when we got up there, one of my co-workers did the talking, he was very nice and polite to the clerk, and we got first class seats on the next flight out, a lot of the others were still waiting for a later flight, which I am sure made them even more angry, that gave me a lesson in being kind, and it's stuck!
And as far as the TV News comment, I worked in that business, and geez, I never saw so many people who got defensive right off the bat when they came in for something!
