Oil in spark plug cylinder.

I just changed my plugs with 160K on the odometer. #6 was full of oil. Dealer quoted me $800 to RTV the plug seals. It has run fine for 10 years and 160K miles. I think I will just keep on driving her as is and save the $800 for the used G37 convertible I want next.

I had oil in #6 as well, but have driven 30k mi since my plug change. Doesn't seem to affect anything.

I'm in Charlotte, but if you're down this way check out CIN Motorsports. They will replace your covers with Maxima covers for $95 each, and about $130 in labor. That is a savings of $480. I am having mine done this week.

When your there please get the part number for the Maxi covers. I was under the impression that they wouldn't fit the G.

Sure, tell them Evan sent you. Just to be more specific, I was getting some work done on my car already, and I'm not sure if the labor price reflects that or not. Either way, you will save a lot of money over buying the stock covers.

I do not know the proper numbering of the plugs. I only got a chance to remove all of the driver side plugs before I lost sunlight.
The attached pictures are of my three driver side plugs. The middle plug and the left plug were soaked in oil. Before replacing, should I be cleaning the plug tubes? What is the proper way to do so?
