You don't have to lower it first that's just everyone's opinion because the x's are slightly higher than the sedans and a lot higher than the coupes. If I remember right you can slap the coupe springs on your factory struts and it will lower your car an inch or slightly more or less. And the same with the stock 350z springs for a little lower, but if you go too low you will need to get an alignment or you will eat through tires.

I have some pics of my car on the forums here. my only problem is that I may not be able to figure out where.(lol I hardly ever get on here.) I have the 350z springs on my front shock and not my rear (I can't hardly tell that my car is lower in the front. but I like it when I notice it.) as far as the struts I have no idea if they would have a problem with the g35/350z springs, I have the red struts on my '03 (which I read on here means that I have the sport sedan... I Hope) and that means that I shouldn't have a problem, but there are some other great threads on here that will tell you what you need to know about lowering your x.

I hope that this image works. this is on a drive through the Alpine loop through American Fork Canyon. I think the angle of the camera makes the front look lower. lol

The image didn"t load but if you click on it it should work, if not check out my profile and try to find my gallery.

Hey man thanks appreciate it that looks really low but looks nice from what I read people who got the 350z springs all have problems with their shocks now and have to replace them. I really don't wanna go that route if that's 100% true.

Hmm I guess I better take a look at my shocks, since I haven't checked them for a while. But I don't have any strange sounds or rub issues so I haven't thought about them. Lol

I got them here locally from a guy who was turning his z into a track only car. I got all for for $30!! It was a screaming deal that I jumped on within an hour of him posting it. (on a local classifieds site) I haven't used the rear ones at all. Lol

Wow u sure got a great deal. I'm probably gonna get some 350z springs just for the front and get them installed I really don't care much about lowering my car to fullest as long it looks good and I can still enjoy driving my car with.people in it I would be more then happy.

Well, I guess I'll be that guy.

What condition is it in?
how many miles?

Has it been insepcted by your/a mechanic yet?
Compression Test?

Repairs before mods, make sure the car is worth putting a cent into before you put a cent into it

Whenever you lower your car on factory shocks you "increase" the wear. How much wear would G coupe or 350Z springs add? Probably not a whole lot in comparison to other spring options. If you go too low though I'd suggest getting something valved better for the springs.

Just be sure to get your car aligned afterwards.

I like my Varrstoen ES 2.2.2s 19s. You can do wheels and tires for under 2k.
