If youre worried about lowering the car you can always do an oem setup like 350s or g35 coupe springs.......itll lower it a little without slamming the car....but I dont think there would be a problem lowering the car

With it being an x you're going to have to keep the same tire size on it. And 20's may make it so you will have to fear pot holes real bad because you'll have such a small sidewall (I can't think of what that's called for the life of me! Aspect ratio??) I have g35 coupe 19's on g35 sedan and I love them. They're staggered though so you would have to find two sets of fronts or something. I'm also a huge fan of the mesh style rims like the bbs rgr's or the varrstoen es113 xxr also has a decent looking one called the 526 that doesn't look half bad
But I would check out the galleries on here and see if you can find something you like then hut up the market place and see if you get lucky or also look on Ebay.

Drop before rims always, especially if you're looking at 20s. Since the X sits up so high already, you'll look like a boat with 20s on your car at stock height. The gap will be ghastly............

He can run staggered wheels, as long as he gets tires that will be similar in circumfrence. I believe the VDC has a tolerance of 3% variation.

With OEM 19's, revized 350z suspension and rolled fenders you can do F:235/40 & R:245/40 and still be able to get within alignment spec.

You don't HAVE to get wheels first. There are other mods that you can get done as well.
