So Im gonna paint my rims and calipers. Need your help.

Ok. So I have made the decision to paint my rims and calipers. At first, I was just going to do my calipers but I then realized that this was the perfect time to do both. All 4 rims have a little to a decent amount of rash so I have to fix that first. My question to you guys is what color do you think will look best with my car?

Black is out of the question. I just don't like it. I was thinking either hyper silver (Similar to stock) or hyper black.

I don't feel like there are many other colors that will look good. I want them to be shiny though. Will spraying them with a clear coat afterwards do the trick?

This is hyper silver (Not my rim)

This is hyper black (Not my rim)

don't paint the stock calipers, no reason to draw any attention to them

If they are discolored and showing their age like mine are, than why not paint them. OP the colors you are considering would look good imo. Just stay away from loud colors like red, green, yellow, etc. for the stock calipers.

Are those the coupe 19s? I have the same rims, and I'd like to get mine powder coated black, but people are saying it can be kinda sketchy to powder coat them because they're aluminum. Has anyone had theirs painted? And I voted for hyper black.

If your wheels really need some refinishing I say silver. It'll look pretty classy.

Powder coating, when done right, is perfectly safe. If you leave wheels in the oven for too long though they can "overage" essentially, which makes them more susceptible to damage from road hazards and everyday driving. Many wheel companies though offer powder coat as a standard finish over paint due to its durability.

Hyper black is just a name. I don't think you'll find a specific color code for that finish, but I bet if you went to a paint shop looking for something similar they could mix something up that would be comparable.

I have my coupe 19's powder coated and haven't had a problem at all with them. I would go for the gunmetal look with a high gloss though. It's dark enough and it won't be black outer matching the car. Add for the calipers I wouldn't paint them unless you got your hands on the Brembo ones. , but if you really wanted to I would vote for black. Also paint the center of the rotors to match the calipers. That always looks classy.

Why don't you buy some better calipers that will draw better attention to your G.
