Labor and parts thread

I was wondering if this has ever been done before and whether or not it was a good idea.

Can we make a database of how much we spent on parts and labor for the various this we got repaired on our cars? Every time I find something wrong with my car, I always find myself trying to figure out how much it will cost me to fix it. Searching for it takes forever, google usually doesn't help since they don't have the match and make of the car etc.

May be this is a shitty idea, but I figured it was worth a shot. So here it goes:

Car: 2004 Infiniti G35x. Location: NYC
Things repaired & associated labor costs:
1) Replaced engine
Used motor - $900 (ebay)
Labor - $1000 + $100 (welding due to minor damage)

2) Replaced both rear wheel bearings and hub
One used bearing/hub: $50
One new bearing & hub: $180 ($50 bearing $130 hub - both on ebay)
Labor: $200 ($40/hr)

3) Rear passenger caliper
New caliper: $92
Labor: $40 (1hr)

4) A/C pulley
New pulley: $60
Labor: $40 (1hr)

Feel free to flame

Well I generally like to do all the labor myself because its cheaper and a bettet sense of pride when you complete it.

Thx, I will try to keep a laundry list in the first post. Hopefully this can be as useful as I think it will be.
