hey guys what up just purchased a used 05 g35 sedan so far i like but it does have some problems. the first one is the sun roof. from what i found out most of the faulty one have loose screws. the problem with mine is that it tilts up and down fine but when i try to open it moves about half an inch and then moves forward by itself, i couldnt find any thread on similiar problem like mine. the second one is the fuel door. most likely the actuator going to take it out this weekndn to chek it out. the third is my left headlight is out the guy i bought it from said he installed new bulbs but it still doesnt work im thinking its the ballast its flicker once when i turn them on but it never comes on. the last problem is the cluster, around the mileage screen and 20 mph the light seems dimmer than the rest of the cluster is that a sign of a bulb going out?

id reallly appreciate your help and will continue looking for more info

 

tried the reset procedure with no luck. it tries to open but it just moves forward by itself. what could be the problem?

 

1. Get a new fuel door actuator if the door isnt locking when the car is locked. Very easy install.
2. Cluster you may need a bulb.
3. Sunroof do the reset if it doesnt work go to a professional.

 

pulled the acutator adn sprayed with some wd40 and its working pretty good now, the cluster im going to hold of on to see if it is actually a bulb because its dims and the next day its fully lit. the sunroof im also going to wait and pull the headliner this weekend and see if somethign its abstructing the tracts. it may be that switch is stuck on the close position?

 

Hey bro, just checking to see if you ended up fixing your sunroof. I'm having the same problem, mine tilts up and down but does not open rear ward. It used to work perfectly and about two months ago it suddenly started having this issue. About two weeks later my rear drivers side window would not open by using the drivers door console (does work using the rear button). I guess them gremlins decided to mess with the G.

 

i did mine seemed to have a pieace of plastis stuck on the rail it would open slighty but then closed. as the for the rear windows not opening its could be that the master switch is going bad. for the sunroof i wouldnt know. does it just tilt up and down. does it even crack open a litlle bit? i suggest that you look the suroof reset procedure to it that would work.
