Unhappy SO Many Dings on my Passenger Side Door!

My passenger side door looks horrendus. There are 10-15 dime to quarter size scrapes. They have been there for quite some time and I don't even remember if they started showing up slowly or all at once. I assume that they are from people opening their door into mine. I just find it odd they are all on one side and I have basically none on my driver side.

My question is what is the best way to fix these? Do I have to get the whole door repainted? I've read good things about Dr. Colorchip and also read some that say it really doesnt look that good.

I'm just basically looking for your guys opinions on what my best option is to get this looking good again for the best price!

Thanks!

***Edit***
I'll try and get a picture up sometime today

Also, I'm planning on getting a full interior/exterior detail done within the next month. Will a exterior detail do anything at all to fix my problem (I'm not too sure on what all they do) or will it basically just look the same?

Pictures would be nice to assess the damage, but if the paint isn't missing or anything like that you may just be able to buff some of that stuff out.

I've had small dings removed from my car relatively easily and quickly from one of those paintless dent remover guys. Might want to try that first, then just like VMRWheels said, they scuffs might be able to buff out

I have a similar issue. All these dings are a little annoying, especially because they are from people who aren't careful when they park next to me and then proceed to open their car doors. Why can't people be more careful?
