Cigarette lighter issue

Ive been using my phone charger in my cigarette lighter and it stopped working. My first reaction was to change the fuse out and that didn't solve the problem. I took it to a Nissan dealer because I have no Infiniti dealer near me and a guy in the garage stuck some tool in the lighter that lit up and he said the power is fine and the charger must be broken.

Problem is that the charger works in other cars.

I'm thinking it could be a contact issue and maybe the charger just isn't touching the power source properly. Or maybe it's getting some power but not enough?

Anyone have any insight? Thanks in advance

In case anyone ever searches for this one I figured I'd wrap this up. Took this to another garage a buddy of mine owns and he explained that the lighter can have power but if the ground wire isn't connected then it won't work. The ground wore apparently disconnected so they soldered it back in place and we were back in action in 15 minutes.

Shocking that no one at a dealership knew that. Well I guess maybe not so shocking.
