Engine stalled at light, limp mode, code p2135

Hello, please go easy on me this is my first thread .

Today while stopped at a stop sign the my 2004 g35x steering went out, couldnt accelerate, and all the dash lights came on whie in drive. i put it in park shut it off, and it started back up fine (was a little longer and rougher start up though). nothing seemed different and nothing seemed wrong at all.

A few weeks ago the service engine soon light came on, and it gave me a code:

p2135
throttle/ pedal position sensor
switch A/B
Voltage coordination.

nothing felt off or wrong with this code about a week later it went away.

i was searching around this site for possible reasons this happened, and seems to me the biggest possibilities here are the MAF sensor, throttle body, or something else i cant remember.

could it be possible that the code the engine gave out a little while back is the cause for this? what steps should i take on my own to to a possible self diagnosis, or is it just more worth it to take it in to be looked at?

is it still safe to drive? i plan on getting this check out as soon as possible. but dont wanna spend any unneccesary money or run risk any extra damage. any information would be awesome, and if any extra information is needed please let me know i will be glad to provide it.

did yours have problems starting up at all? or did it just stall out at times? did it start right back up after it stalled out? thanks for your input i know this isnt too uncommon

well i only had the car a few days when it happened. but after clearing the code, the light would stay off for awhile, then while driving the car would stall the vdc slip and ses light would all come and ding. turn the car off would start right back up and act like nothing ever happened. cleared and repeated before had the dealer take a look at it and replaced the throttle body.

defiantly sounds like a problem with your intake system. Start with cleaning the MAF sensor with some CRC MAF sensor cleaner, check your air filter, clean your throttle body without touching the butterfly valve and then do the throttle relearn procedure. That will most likely fix your prob .

also check the connection on your throttle position sensor and your crank position sensors. they may be the cause of the hard starts. mine does this very rarely so i haven't worried too much yet..

thanks for all the input folks, greatly appreciated. the second time it stalled out the vdc, slip, and ses lights came on and stayed on. i got the code read at autozone and its P0345 camshaft position sensor A circuit bank 2. havnt had any idle issues or anything and whenever it stalled out it always started back up but tok a little longer (still one try though). great idea on checking all of the connections!! will do for sure, already ordered the camshaft position sensor. ill try that out and looks like if its still continuing even after that (and all conenctions are solid), ill just replace my throttle body.

i will also take redpearls advice to clean the MAF sensor and throttle body. seems like i may end up replacing it anyway

if you got a camshaft position sensor code that is more than likely what it is...if you were to search this forum for p0345 you will see that this is a common problem with the same symptoms
