Questions about tuning.

1) is there a certain time I should get my car tuned? Ex: after adding a few aftermarket parts.
2) where could I get it tuned at?
3) how much does it usually cost?

1. Yes after you add aftermarket performance parts and want to get all the power from it
2. You would need to find a shop nearby, where do you live?
3. 500 bucks for Osiris which gives great gains for N/A applications.

Unfortunately, I'm in Mississippi. But you say Osiris is the best? How many maps does it come with?

Only performance thing is z-tube and 06 revup airbox. I was thinking about getting it tuned after I added the spacer and exhaust though.

That would be the best thing. Make sure you get all your bolt on before your tune.

What if I decide to add more aftermarket parts somewhere down the road, would I have to pay full price to get it retuned?

The first time you get tuned the price includes $300 for the osiris license. You never have to pay for this again, you own it forever.

Typically retunes on the dyno range from $150-300 depending on the shop, or uprev does etunes for $50, or if you have the tuner version you can tweak it yourself.

But unless you add something that makes a big change you won't really need a retune

So I should wait until I add my plenum spacer and exhaust before I tune it because that would give me the most hp, right?

If you're planning on getting dyno tuned at a shop I would wait until you have all your mods done, but even with what you have now you'll see a noticeable improvement in driveability and a lot more responsiveness from the tune. If I were in your situation I'd get a tune now and just wait for the dyno portion until I had all the mods done, $300 of the price is the osiris license anyways so if you buy that now its going to be $300 cheaper later on when you dyno.

There are many other benefits to the osiris tune as well, such as the map switching feature and being able to have a rpm&speed limited valet and anti-theft map

Ahh, got'cha. I'm probably going to get the spacer here shortly and then tune.
