Question about car stereo for G35 noob
I just got a 2004 G35 Sedan, but the cd player is kaputt. I am trying to decide on tint and a car stereo. Is there anyone that is knowledgeable in both. I don't want to get tint that will get me pulled over, but still looks good. I'm thinking 35% in the front and 25% in the back.
As for car stereo, I was between JVC and Alpine(I'm leaning more toward Alpine). Which one do you think is better and why?
Another problem I have is, how will the frame look with an after market car stereo? Should I get black or gray or charcoal? I think those are the colors.
The frame around the interface, right now, is gray or a silver color. If you have pictures of your aftermarket car stereo set up, that would be extremely helpful and I would appreciate it.
Thanks everyone.

I did 35% on front and rear doors and 20% on the rear window. Im not a fan of light fronts and darker rear windows, it destorys the continuity from a profile view. That's just me though.
Go door alpine with three jdm radio Bezel. It looks freakin sweet. Also get a DVD set up if you can it fits the g a lot better.
add far as tint goes get what's legal.

I got tint that helps fight solar heat and has a lifetime warranty. Most good install shops should offer this kind of tint, and may even have some kind of demonstration with a heat lamp. Old, cheap tints just make the car look darker on the inside, newer tints will keep the car cooler by blocking the heat energy, and they won't turn purple.
Also, depending on what state you're in, I'm sure one of the members can make a recommendation on where to go to get your windows tinted. Where are you from?

I'm in Jersey so everything's supposedly illegal but I got around with 30% all around without getting pulled over. But when inspection came it had to come off, the front anyway.Depending on your state, wait till after inspection. I know places like Florida and down south you might be unlimited, or close. from my experience it depends on where your plates are from, copwise.
Also, I'm not a tint expert but I see a difference between "blue" and "brown' tint. I was happy I had brown. Blue to me is the roll up DIY stuff they sell at Pep Boys. I was quoted years back at a decent place 150 for all rear 7 windows ( including the rear half-windows ) on an Accord I had. cant imagine the prices are much different now. Includes labor too. There are ads in Paterson for 70 but I wouldn't do that to my G.
My stereo died completely and my plan is a Pioneer Avic with the kit so that's the way I'm going. IDK how a single DIN would look and someone has probably pulled it off but with the '03 sedan center dash, double DIN is the way to go. If that's the case then go all navi.
Good luck.
