Suspension Squeak Over Speed Bumps

If I drive slow over a speed bump, I can hear a quite squeak coming from the front end, then when the rear wheels hit the bump, there's a noise coming from the rear end. It's pretty quiet and doesn't do it anywhere else except for speed bumps or similar circumstances at speeds of less than 5 miles per hour. It's a 2005 g35x with 102k miles. Any suggestions?

The noise from the front would be the front Compression Bushings... they all go out on our cars. The rear could be loose endlinks, to bushings on the suspension just being worn out

Compression rods go fast on our cars. When i first heard the squeeking, I immediately took an oil squirt can and squirted 10W30 (synthetic) over the top of the bushing until it was coming thru the bushings (when they were sopping wet with the oil). It completely silenced it and reduced much of the tearing that will continue if you drive the car dry. All this really did was mask the problem, but I got another 50K+ miles out of it by squirting the oil annually (3 years total). Finally changed it at 85K miles. The squeeking started again at around 115K, so the "fix" seems to be only temporary since it seems that Infiniti made few changes to the new bushings (as far as i can tell).

Hope this helps.

I recently replaced the compression rods. I did a lot of research before doing it. If your bushings are shot, change the rods and the ball joint. They are one piece. Changing bushings is a totally waste of money because the labor cost is high. And besides, the ball joints will go later.

I've heard the same thing, but I believe mine squeaks in the rear. And I've also noticed it's only with my lowering springs. I put my stock springs back on, and it didn't squeak anymore. :/

For me it was blown suspension bushings. Either inspect it yourself if you are competent, or take it to a Nissan mechanic to look at it.
