Thats your muffler. You wont need to replace your midpipe. You can drive for a short time, but all that is holding your muffler in place is 3 rubber exhaust hangers. Fix it

Time to get an aftermaket exhaust system =)
Or else just go to a muffler shop and they'll fix/replace whats needed

The muffler is bolted on like all mufflers these days. Call some mufflers shops to get estimates.Originally Posted by EkixDrive

Seems like the opportune moment to get an aftermarket exhaust. But if you want to stay stock, I wouldn't pay more than $50 to weld it back onOriginally Posted by KingoftheRoad1

I wpuld highly recommend a new axle back muffler. If they were to weld it back together, its so rusted it will eventually happen again in another location. Either replace the muffler with a new or used OEM equivalent or purchase a aftermarket piece. Also, I would inspect the rest of your exhaust. If that part has rusted to the point of failure, the rest of your exhaust probably isnt far behind.

^yeah strictly a new muffler would be a nice option as well. HKS and Magnaflow are great options. I have magnaflow on mine, along with a coupe mid and HR Y:

I have my stock muffler that I could sell. Shipping would be a pain/cost though. I actually have the entire cat back but dang, shipping would be killer.

Maybe not. I had my Megan exhaust shipped from WA for $39 thru FedEx ground. Originally Posted by Jeff92se

O.p, any muffler shop can fix it for you but I would use this opportunity to upgrade muffler to a aftermarket muffler if you like a sporty tone. Coupe midpipe by itself is a waste of money IMO and i couldn't tell a difference other than the stupid drone.

you don't "need" to replace anything..go to a muffler shop and they can spot weld that for little to nothing

You need to weld it all around and not just spot. But that assumes the metal around the break is okay. If it rusted though, the pipe 1-2" is probably really thin also.

You need a new muffler not a midpipe as stated above.
You can have the muffler shop cut a few inches up from the break and weld in a short 5" piece. Or just buy a new muffler and bolt it back to the midpipe.
Mine broke on the other side of yours and all the did was cut out a 7" piece and welded in a new piece. I paid $40.
It did sound nice broke though
