some cd's dont play

so i have an issue with my cheap bose system. my GF makes cd's to listen (i have my ipod integration kit) most english cds play with no reading error. recetly all of her japanese/chinese songs arent playing.. the cd never loads and continues to simply say "CD Reading"

anyone have any idea why this may be?

Nothing wrong with your system. She using an incompatible codec. Pretty common with self- made CDs ...

5150ds has the crux of it. CD companies do this to prevent overseas pirating. A computer or old cd player will play them, new ones adjust the code slightly to only work on machines in the same market same with DVDs

well the thing is, she makes english cd's and they work fine. she has used songs before thats worked before but not now.. cant be a codec issue. we have tried different brands of CDR and different recording programs and even different computers to record with.
