I'm running a full Motordyne VQ exhaust paired with a resonated XYZ y pipe. Sounds sexy as hell.

So this will fit my 04 X? And a normal RWD muffler will fit? Such as the one below.

Man.. Wish I didnt leave my resonator at my local shop, I would of sold it to you for just the shipping fees. I think you could pick up a midpipe for less than the link you posted and it will sound sooo much better..

Hatin' on Blue Dream's MD exhaust.....

I am just trying to stick with stock or whatever is cheapest. The stock sound is good enough for me and I do not want anything louder. Bosal seems to have a different part number for the AWD - but it cost 50 bucks more and I thought the RWD muffler would work on the AWD.

Nothing but love for you my man. I got lucky buying it, called Tony at Motordyne a while back just to see if he had any laying around and he sold me the prototype for a ridiculously low price.

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...528&cc=1431984 <This fits the X model and sounds great.

Will part 145-165 fit my 2004 G35X? I don't see why it wouldn't. From the guide I read on here it says the RWD muffler will fit the AWD.

Please advise. Thank you!

It fits perfectly! Both parts.

The sound is nice! A nice deep sound. I am sure it will have to wear in a little, but I like it. So, a new mid pipe, muffler with chrome tips, and both gaskets for $230 bucks with great sound. You can't go wrong. I am happy.

I have an 04 AWD sedan friend has an 03 RWD sedan
Wanted to take his HKS mid pipe and N1 exhaust but apparently my OEM mid pipe & OEM muffler do not fit becuz of the transfer case. The mid pipe is shorter on mine where as his is longer. Anyone have any advice on a mid pipe that I can pick up? Also my midpipe and muffler are OEM specific aftermarket parts

The midpipe on AWD/RWD/Coupe/Sedan are all the same length. The y-pipe is different though.

Sorry to bump an old thread. So I ended up buying the HKS exhaust for my 04 G35X, but I haven't been able to install it because the entire section from the Y-pipe back needs to be replaced due to rust(literally flanges broken and holes in piping).

Since G35X exhaust parts are hard to come by and I'd rather not spend a lot of money... what're some options I can run for the midpipe, and Y-pipe?

I was thinking of using the coupe mid-pipe like a lot of people do on the G35X, but what Y-pipe can I match that up with?
