Proud New Owner Of 04 G35 Sedan

Hello guys just joined. Bought a 04 Sedan this weekend. I got the silver 6 speed with the premium package A. Just was wondering what performance mods to start with. I have seen threads hear that say that aftermarket exhaust and intake do not really do much for the car for the price you pay. Any suggestions would be great. Also anyone twin turbo any sedans yet? Buy the way traded my 03 TL type S on the G. Great trade up!!!!!!

Congrats on your purchase!! The G is a great car....and nice to see another TL traded in for the G!

There are lot of folks on here with a great deal of modding experience so I am sure you will get a number of replies.

Congrats and welcome to the G family. I myself traded in a 2004 RSX-Type S for my G sedan last year. Lots of very knowledgeable folks here on this board and I'm sure you'll find a lot of answers to your G questions. Enjoy your G. - Mike

first mod....a Cold air Intake. I highly recommend the injen. I have it on my 6MT sedan and it really opened it up.

If you want additional HP, I suggest Stillen Exhaust with there Big Air Intake and a 350Z tube... You will definantly noticed the increase in acceleration... These are a do it yourself mods that can be done in 3-4 hours....

Congrats on your new ride bro.
Intake, exhaust, grounding, would be a good start.

Stillen exhaust is the single most effective power gaining bolt-on for the car, but it's pretty loud. I'd estimate that half the people who have had the Stillen have either removed it or are still complaining about it. If you're into having a loud car (it does sound SWEET at WOT though) then it's a must-have mod.

I think just the z-tube and airbox is the most effective intake system. Suspension and wheels are where I'd spend most of my energy.

Anyone on this site from around the Upstate South Carolina area? I thank you all for your input. I think that I may start with the z tube and pop charger. everything g35 has a special on the pop charger and z tube for $195.00. Sounds like a good deal for a start. Still need a nice body kit though. Any suggestions on that. I think that I will be keeping my stock 17" wheels. Do not want to carry the extra wieght of 18" or 19".

The best body kit in my opinion is the factory 4 piece aero kit. It comes painted the color of your car, it fits and looks great.

New. Out the door 29,200. I put a good amount down and got the 2.9%. I did have some negitive equity in our 03 aura tl-s. But I think I got a good deal. They were really pushing to get rid of the twelve 04's that they still had.

Out the door!! This is the third car that I have bought through this automotive group. They own the dealership where I bought my Intergra and my TL. They gave me the car at almost invoice I guess. They still had eleven or twelve 04's on th lot when I bought mine. They are suppose to be getting in the 05's in the next week or so. I guess they wanted to sell them before the new one arrived. It didn't take much to get it at that price eighter.

Damn, I rather have gotten an 04 at that price instead of paying so much for the 05. Congrats, you got an excellent deal
