Need help, potential G35 driver here

I just test drove a G35 6MT last weekend. Wow, was I impressed! I currently own a 2001 A4 1.8T Quattro, APR chipped (with various other minor mods). I love my current car, but the G35 blew me away.

I sat down with the sales guy and he gave me the MSRP for the car I wanted. ~$33, 900.

I didn't have my car with me for them to make a trade offer so I left and have been thinking about the G35 since...what is a reasonable offer to make on the $33,900? Edmunds doesn't seem to have any invoice numbers on it so I'm not sure where to begin.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

That sounds like a pretty good price. I've heard about some special deals once or twice on the G35 forums where folks have paid less than MSRP. However, in practically all cases, people are paying right around MSRP - sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less. For the price you quoted, you should at least be looking at a premium package (leather, sunroof, Bose).

Also, it helps if we know where you are. Members may be able to refer you to a dealer or salesperson.

And carsdirect.com let's you option a car and gives you the invoice and MSRP, and if possible, the price they could negotiate for you.

I am currently living in the Chicago area but will be re-locating to the Milwaukee area.

The price he quoted me included...Leather, Aero package, winter package, Sunroof.

No premium package. the only thing I would want the premium package for is the sunroof.

I appreciate all the help.

Seems quite high... I did a quick price check with carsdirect and MSRP came out to just over $31,700, destination included (invoice just under $29K). With taxes and tag, I estimate out the door cost of close to the $33,900 you were quoted.

Not a deal at all...paying MSRP.

Unfortunately, the 6MT's are almost as hot as the coupes, and it may be hard to find a dealer willing to go much less than MSRP for a few more months.

That hot?... I wouldn't have thought demand would have been that high.

Well, there are more people wanting 6MT's than there are 6MT's.. and that's about all it takes.

OK, BIG DIFFERENCE HERE

The way I equiped the car at the dealer had me at $33, 900 MSRP...on kbb, the SAME car is $31,645 MSRP!

The car fully loaded...Premium, winter, Aero was $33, 845.

Who is more accurrate? Maybe I should go to a different dealer?

Thanks again to all

Use the Build feature on Infiniti's website to get an accurate MSRP.

There might have also been dealer add-on's, like paint and interior protectant treatment, usually a grand... just another way for them to build profit into the sale.
