Creeking noise from front suspension

Hello,

I have the creeking noise coming from my front suspension on my 2004 G35 Sedan. When I told the dealership about it, they said the entire control arm assembly would have to be replaced... $500 each side, since they don't sell the individual compression rod bushings and control arm bushings.

I have found these individual parts at very affordable prices:

http://www.conceptzperformance.com/c...32770.79.86.33

http://www.conceptzperformance.com/C...53670.79.50.39

I'm going to have them installed on my car within the next month at a private car shop since the dealership now says they don't have the tools to finish this job and would have to sub contact it anyway. I wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with these parts in the past. Comments and feedback are appreciated.

Thanks!

Please replace your whole compression rods, you'll have issues with the ball joint later on...just strap on a new one now. Good choice with the lower control arm bushings though, no need to buy a new arm. I went with Whiteline control arm bushing and I like them

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you have a link to the specific part from Whiteline? I would like to get it all done once I bring in to the shop so I definitely want to get the actual compression rods along with the bushings. I don't want to do a halfass job. Get it done right the first time. Thanks!

The first link is for UPPER control arm bushings. Are you sure those need replacing? It's typically the inner lower control arm bushings that are more prone to failure.

As for the Eneregy Suspension compression rod bushings... After less than 2 years, mine have cracked on the inside edges and I will be replacing them in the spring. I've see that other members here have had problems with them tearing as well.

Like AARONHL mentioned, replacing the whole compression rod might be you best bet, since no one offers replacement ball joints for these.

Bought mine off maximum_suspension on ebay and got a great service, fast response, and so on. He was the only one to testify that RWD Sedans would use the same arms as the Coupe and 350z, and mines did fit perfectly, got it aligned after that and everything is fine, within the specs.

If I purchase all new compression rods, do they come included with new compression rod bushings... sorry if that's a newbie question. Buying the entire compression rod wasn't my original plan until I found out on here, that's why I was going to get the upper and lower bushings installed to have the noise fixed...

A lot of people have replaced the bushings only. I think it's a waste of time because the ball joint is just as weak as the bushing and people are wondering why their car won't go straight on the highway, still creaks and pops over bumps

I replaced my bushings and my suspension wasn't satisfactory until a year later I'm hearing popping from the compressions rod ball joint. Wish I put the $100 towards new rods in the first place, instead of replacing bushings.

You can replace the bushings in the lower control arm in the first link. Not necessary to buy new control arms, and I would recommend just bushings.

Good question...they come with everything except the conical spacer on the ball joint, you can reuse the ones you have on the car but they are a b to remove so buy news ones for $10 each at the dealer. You can find the part number the compression rod thread

once you replace your compression rods and lower control arm bushings your suspension will be nice an tight

You have the classic symptom of compression rod bushings problems. The bushings have cracked but you should replace the entire compression rod on both sides like I did. I did a lot of research on this issue. It's just not worth it to replace the bushings. When you replace the whole compression rod, you replace the ball joint also which will go bad later, so why spend money on just the bushings?

The replacement of both compression rods cost me about $600.

You are absolutely correct! I did a lot of research on this issue and replaced both compression rods and the ball joints that come with it.
