Radiator Options

My radiator blew I think. I guess it is cracked some where. I see coolant on the front of the radiator and steam and leaks, etc...

Advance Auto parts wants $200 for a radiator. Not bad. But how are these aftermarket units compared to OEM? I see the OEM cracks alot from doing a search on this site. I am thinking about getting an OEM unit out of the junkyard for $100 because I know the fitment will be right. I have external tranny cooler so I can use a radiator from an auto or manual.

you basically have four aftermarket choices: Koyo, Mishimoto, Mizu, and Blackworks. I would recommend the Koyo...seems to have the least problems from a fitment standpoint.
This thread might help.

You can try radiators.com I think that was the name of it. I would have to check my receipt when I get home to make sure but I only paid $130 and they dropped it off at my job in about two hours, but I guess they had a store near me here in Atlanta, but I assume they have locations all over.

I actually ordered a radiator from advance auto parts about two months ago. I had to take my car to the nissan dealership and when I got there they gave me the wrong radiator. THen I had to deal with my money being tied up for 2 weeks waiting on them to get it back. After all that, the dealership had one shipped overnight from radiators.com and installed. It was 239.00 but it has been running great since. Moral of the story= radiators.com rulz!

Anyone know who makes the OEM? It might say Nissan on it, but there might be a subcontract manufacturer's logo somewhere that might be one of the "aftermarket" radiators for sale

Radiator replaced with a used one from a 2004 G35 coupe 6spd. Fit fine in my 2005 sedan auto. I run an external cooler for the transmission.

Calsonic. They supply Nissan with radiators, exhaust and other components.
