Infiniti has the sedan and coupe weight EXACTLY the same (3,512 for the 6mt versions). Surely they aren't, does anyone know how much lighter the earlier ones were than the coupe and if the difference still holds for '05?

 

Here are weights from the Canadian Brochures:

2005 Sedan=3,482 lb, G35X AWD=3,668 lb, Aero package M6=3,516 lb
Coupe=3,488 lb, Sport package M6=3,514 lb

2004 Sedan=3,386 lb, G35X AWD=3,688 lb
Coupe=3,420 lb

Note-these weights are as read from the Canadian literature.
I knew the weights had gone up for 2005, but I never realized until now that the 2005 G35X actually went down in weight this year.

~100 lbs is quite a bit of wieght to add to the sedan. I wonder what it is.

Hmm, was the space saver spare standard on the 04's, while it's an option on the 05's? That could make quite a difference (but not 100 lbs).

I wonder if the 05 At will be any faster than the 04. Let's see 298 HP vs 260 HP but 100 Lbs less. My money is on the 04. What do you guys think?

I will race my cousins coupe this week, I have 1,130 miles on it right now. I've got a perfect 1/4 of a mile stop light to stop light with a straight road waiting

 

The 7100 fuel cut increase on the 2005 will make the difference. Need dynos.

Would be great if another 2004 6spd or any other G dynoed same day.
