Question Crossfitting 03-04 with 05-06?

ok so i just registered to this forum just to ask this one question, i read through the sticky of the differences in year breaks and so on, still wana ask real quick...

...i bought an 05 g35 sedan normal RWD model wrecked from an auction.. pretty light front end damage.. im going to replace the hood, headlights, front bumper cover, grille and pass. front fender...

my question is can i put a 03-04 hood, bumpercover, grille, and headlights on this car ? will everything line up fine? reason for asking is i cant find the 05-06 specific parts anywhere local for a decent price an 03-04 is dime a dozen...

any input is appreciated thanks -Clutch

Obviously you didn't read anything.

dude, no reason to act like that...i deal with enough "forum technicians" on a daily basis.... i read the "exterior" portion of the FAQ sticky by ttrank, it was posted in 08.. it says the fenders are different and everywhere ive called says the fenders are the same 03-06.. some places even list the hood 03-06... obviously i would be questionable of which is really fact... also stated in the sticky is that "if you change everything" the parts should be interchangable... and im sure with u being such a "g35 forum police" you know 03-04 nor 05-06 parts are "cheap"... so i thought there might be some decent members of this site to maybe clarify for me before i purchase one or the other because im in no way an expert with these vehicles. Anyone else out there that could clear things up so i can get some parts ordered? Much appreciated -Clutch

ttrank is right, if you do the front end conversion you'll need the 03-04 fenders as well. The 03-04 headlights are shaped differently and won't fit cleanly with the 05-06 fenders. HTH

If you do fenders, might want to coupe front end conversion.

from what i though fenders were the same, but if they are not you will need everyting from the fenders to the front. like others have said if u can do the fixing.... might as well do the coupe front end. all u need is coupe fenders and sedan fenders. but you would need all of the following regardless which route you go

hood/bumper/grill/headlights/ and fenders if they are different from the 05-06 GL

ok, the coupe conversion sounds like a decent route, do you guys know if the radiator supports are the same coupe vs. sedan? Forgive me for the next ?, i havnt searched the coupe conversion yet on this site, i can later on tonight, but for sake of time can anyone tell me is the coupe front end a direct bolt on swap or am i looking at some fabrication? Thanks guys.

You will need to do some fabrication. I don't believe the coupe fenders line up with our a-pillars along with some other issues.

The 03-06 sedan fenders are the same, I think the confusion is that the coupe ones are different.
This is from my research, not personal experience, but I'm pretty sure the sedan fenders are the same

If you replace all the parts you listed with 03-04 sedan parts they will fit. You don't need different fenders

Coupe swap is custom for sure, you need to use the back half of the sedan fenders and the front half of the coupe fenders and try to blend them together. Then you need headlights, hood, bumper, grill, etc.

Matt are you sure they are the same? Like i said above i thought that they were differently shaped by the headlights, hence the reason 03-04's can't do a clean, direct swap with an 05-06.

Not 100% sure, nope, but pretty sure. The main difference in the 05 headlight change was the bottom and inside edge, I don't think anything on the outer corner changed.

Could be wrong.

Not sure if you already tried but maybe call an Infiniti dealership?
They might give a definitive answer. If not try contacting Phil@GRUBBS
