whatever you do, don't go to Midas, I mistakenly did this and got locked into the free pads for life package, although they have been very good with the warranties, they never did, nor will ever put the correct OEM brake gear that these hi performance braking systems need. I'm very skiddish on these brakes after my accident (rear ended someone, likely to the poor performing brake hardware) Next time I have to replace the rotors, I think I'm gonna dump the Midas brakes and pads for life.

How are the brakes on this car any different from every other car on the road?

I stand corrected, alot of people belive (as i did) when they buy a high performace vehicle they are getting high perfomance parts, which in this case is not true

There are alot of issues with the brakes, specifically with the 2003 and 2004 models and rapid break wear, there was even a lawsuit, which nissan extended the brake waranty for these years models to 3yr or 36000 miles.

my personal experience (from what I remember) is that the original brake pads and rotors performed better that the ones I have today. my brakes now feel sluggish and in the event where I need to slam them to stop, I feel they will not stop me in time therefore I increase my following distance in traffic.
