3M Headlight Restoration: Success!

Just wanted to post up a success story on clearing up some yellowed headlights - the kit was very easy to use. It took a while (I went over the headlight at least 4 times with each step), but the results were well worth it.

Great work bud. How much time did it take to complete?

Like I said, I took my time, made several passes with each grit paper and took off a decent amount of material so I didn't have to go all the way back through the steps. I'd say between a half hour and 45 minutes per headlight. My neighbor is quite talkative so the second light took about twice as long

Off subject, but my HFCs should arrive tomorrow!

That looks great! Mine isn't nearly as bad, but I need to do this to mine! You get the materials at a local auto parts store?

Definitely a good kit to have! Did my G's and my wife's car with the same kit, and still have some parts to make some other headlights !!

autozone has the kits pretty cheap, but you might be able to snag them off amazon even cheaper.

I'm going to have to pick some up over the weekend and see what I can do. And I would man, if I didn't have to pay for my summer classes. That's like 2000 out of pocket for 2 classes.
