Quote: The one major issue that is never really discussed with running a coupe/z middy on the sedan is how low it hangs..for guys on coilovers such as myself it's a major pain in the butt. I'm beating this thing to death, i wish it tucked in like the oem does.
Does it hang lower than the oem midpipe?

Okay, sound clips time. First up, just the K&N drop in and Z-tube:

And here it is with the plenum spacer, grounding kit, and the Walker Coupe resonator pipe:

Sorry, apparently I can't edit around the forum macro that is taking my hyperlink and the youtube link and posting both at the same time, sorry for the dupe vids.

Up soon (hoping the end of this week) is a Magnaflow muffler.

I resently installed the Bosal midpipe and muffler. The midpipe looks more like the walker pipe than the picture of the Bosal. It does have a nice subdued growl. BTW I'm looking for some covers to dress up the exhaust tips. The pipes are 2" OD. How do I size them? Some that I've looked at have a range on the OD some don't.

Only update is that the car sounds awesome and I'm thinking of looking for test pipes or HFC's next, and maybe a y-pipe. Thing is, I'm reading that there's really no benefit to an HR y-pipe on my x, so not sure on that front.

I just installed an OEM 03 coupe mid-pipe this weekend. I had developed 2 small leaks, one hole where the y-pipe meets the midpipe, and a hole in the midpipe itself. Car was becoming more louder as time went on, so I figured I'd replace it with a coupe midpipe.

Since the 05-06 sedan midpipe is smaller, I dont notice much difference in the exhaust note. And the coupe midpipe hangs just as low as the stock sedan midpipe did. Wish I could get the coupe tone, but that requires their muffler.

Call me crazy but I kinda prefer the way it sounds w/ just the midpipe!
