What would you do?

Question,

if these cars were the same price which one do you take?

BMW 330i MT
G35 6MT
Audi MT

BMW hands down, right?

If you want people to say BMW then you should post that question on a BMW forum.

The only Audit made in with a manual is the 4 cyl. model and therefore I waste. The 330 is 73 hp less, and for a guy who rates power as one of the most important attibutes of a car, that rules out the 330. That is why I have the G35 6 spd sedan on order.

I've owned all three as my last three cars. First was the 98.5 A4 2.8q. Underpowered and generally quite boring to drive. Got rid of that one within three years. Next up was the 330i. Lots of fun but not the most reliable and too many recurring and/or major issues caused me to move on after four years when the warranty was up. Finally, the 05 G and my present ride. Obviously the most power and speed of the group. In fact, almost too much for the streets around here. Just as much fun in the twisties as the bimmer. Not enough miles yet to comment on reliability.

To answer your question, I think the G offers the best balance of the three and is a great value. Right now you can probably get an 05 330 for about the G's price with incentives as long as you are willing to accept the fact that your brand new car is going to be dated in about two months. Even knowing that, I chose to move on from the bimmer and so far am very happy with that decision.

If I could get ever single option in the Bimmer as I have in the G (it priced out to over 45k when I was shopping around), then... I'd still choose the G. My best buddy's for the ZHP, and I have to say I just don't get a thrill out of it. Looks beautiful, though.

I was offered a 330i w/ LOADED

performance pack ' 04 w/ low miles, for 30k.

I'm probably going to do it.

I'm a huge G35 fan, but this is a deal I will probably take.

I'm deciding between the exact two cars.

I've driven both. I have an offer on the table for a 330 ZHP (beautiful), but I'm still 2nd guessing my self. To me, the BMW is a better feeling sports sedan, you are truly one w/ the vehicle, and shifting is MUCH better, as is the steering feel. The G (as every one says, pulls and pulls! And I think it feels much faster!

Exterior - front (G35) rear (BMW), total = tie.
Interior - BMW, IMO - but G is bigger, so it's close, and the rear seat reclining action rules. Driver's perspective - BMW....Everyone else - G35.
Engine - G35
Handling - BMW, but G35 holds an awesome line, BMW edges it out in control
Shifting, tranny, clutch - BMW (no contest)
Brakes - feel = BMW, stopping = G35
Overall (if same price), I go w/ the BMW, because the car simply does not date (other than the e39 model (a tad)), but in general, BMWs are lookers for years to come IMO.
BUT for the real price - I take the G35.

My problem is this...I can have a 330i zhp '04 for less than an '05 G35. One things for sure, both cars are smokin', and both are somewhat uncommon in that configuration.

Good luck, and wish me luck too!
